Server API · v1

Video management

Public videoId values are stable, provider-neutral Media Asset IDs. Use the Server API to list and search Project videos, inspect details, rename titles, and delete media. Lists support pagination, title or ID search, case-sensitive tag intersections, and folder filtering. Folders can be created, renamed, listed, and deleted; deleting a folder moves its videos and children to the parent.

Renaming accepts an optional 24-hour idempotency key. Deletion revokes new playback immediately and starts asynchronous permanent byte removal. A deleted Media Asset cannot be played while cleanup proceeds. The API reference gives each route, response, and public error.

Protection Mode is a Project and Media Asset policy: DRM-Protected and Standard Playback use the same public authorization and player surface. Standard Playback remains access controlled but does not promise DRM-level extraction resistance. Cross-Project moves, source replacement under an existing videoId, live streams, and Customer Analytics are unavailable.
